Burdens+God's help

Another God thing happened to me this morning, but in order to understand it I have to tell you about last night. It was getting late and I was feeling overwhelmed by not comprehending all of my homework, the amount of homework that was assigned, my jobs, and the pressure to get all of these things accomplished in the exact time which it needed to be done. I did not think I could do it all. The only thing I was certain of was that I would need the Lord’s help. Today I woke up and was in bed praying. I proceeded to get out of my bed, open my Bible and the first verse that I opened up to was Romans 8:28 which I had underlined. It says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Then I got a facebook message from one of my friends Tania who sent me a very kind encouraging note.

Later in the afternoon I was walking on the side walk carrying my heavy back pack which weighs extremely way too much. In fact, each semester I like to weigh my book bag just see how much of a good weight training workout I will be getting each school day. Lol. This semester it is only about 30 Lbs. so thankfully not as heavy as some semesters, but anyways, while I was walking a thought came to my mind. I was so tired of carrying these books. It was hot and the book bag was very heavy. All I could think about was me getting to my destination. With every step I took I was getting closer. This analogy then immediately turned into something spiritual.

Everyone is on a journey walking through life until they reach their destination, which will hopefully be Heaven and not Hell. The heat I was feeling was like the fiery trials we go through and the heavy book bag was all the burdens that just weigh us down. Then I thought about all the burdens and trials I am going through with college and life in general. However, just because life is hard does not mean that we should give up. The Lord is always there to help you, even in the hard times. He said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT." Matthew 11:28-30 I have found that trials make me a better, stronger Christian.
Jesus knew just what I needed to hear to get me through today. As always the Lord was right there by my side speaking to me today. If you are going through hard times, just ask the Lord to help you and He will…. He did for me today.

True Christianity

Setting the example for others...
This is very important to do. So many people watch our lives each day. Sometimes we do not even think about what we say, do and how we act in life. All of us really need to be careful about these things. I know that I am an influence in several different environments such as my jobs and school. My friends, children I work with, and several people are watching how I live and react to circumstances.
Try to encourage others around you. Stay positive because it can change the environment. Be willing to help others. This can be in the form of time, money, resources, etc. It is very important to be that good example in whatever we are doing in life. Are we living a Christian life or just going with the flow of what others around us do? Stand up for the Lord! Be that light in this dark world. If you don't do it, then who will? Trust me, I know it can be hard to be ridiculed because of your faith or how you act because I have been in those situations, especially since I started attending Eastern Illinois University last year. We must remember though that we will receive a reward just like Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." The Lord WILL help you live and walk that Christian lifestyle.

Jesus wants to use you today! Do NOT let demonic powers and the enemy try to control you in various ways because "greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world." I John 4:4 Satan can be defeated and we can be the godly example for others. Because of the Lord we can change this world together to make it a better place until He returns. "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving your own selves." James 1:22 Try to live everyday for the Lord and do what He says.

I know I could write more, but I don't want this to be too long that it will bore you and then you don't read it. So...I will just stop for now. :) Basically, just remember to Set A Christian Example towards others.

Ranch

My sister and I on the ranch. I am so thankful for her in my life. She is wonderful.

Be an example

I am sure you've all heard it said that actions speak lounder than words. This is true. I actually just wrote something the other day called "Setting the example for others" which talked about displaying Christian character and being a light for Jesus. I will post that soon once I finish it.

Hello and...

Welcome to my blog. Here you will be able to read and see pictures about things going on in my life and probably even some devotional stuff. As of right now I do not know what I will be writing about or how much I will be posting.
When I was younger I did not like writing that much, but now that I am older it is not really that bad. In fact, I would much rather write and give speeches than take a test any day. Speaking of tests, I need to get to studying my school for when those tests and quizzes come up.
May the Lord Jesus bless your life.
