Another God thing happened to me this morning, but in order to understand it I have to tell you about last night. It was getting late and I was feeling overwhelmed by not comprehending all of my homework, the amount of homework that was assigned, my jobs, and the pressure to get all of these things accomplished in the exact time which it needed to be done. I did not think I could do it all. The only thing I was certain of was that I would need the Lord’s help. Today I woke up and was in bed praying. I proceeded to get out of my bed, open my Bible and the first verse that I opened up to was Romans 8:28 which I had underlined. It says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Then I got a facebook message from one of my friends Tania who sent me a very kind encouraging note.
Later in the afternoon I was walking on the side walk carrying my heavy back pack which weighs extremely way too much. In fact, each semester I like to weigh my book bag just see how much of a good weight training workout I will be getting each school day. Lol. This semester it is only about 30 Lbs. so thankfully not as heavy as some semesters, but anyways, while I was walking a thought came to my mind. I was so tired of carrying these books. It was hot and the book bag was very heavy. All I could think about was me getting to my destination. With every step I took I was getting closer. This analogy then immediately turned into something spiritual.
Everyone is on a journey walking through life until they reach their destination, which will hopefully be Heaven and not Hell. The heat I was feeling was like the fiery trials we go through and the heavy book bag was all the burdens that just weigh us down. Then I thought about all the burdens and trials I am going through with college and life in general. However, just because life is hard does not mean that we should give up. The Lord is always there to help you, even in the hard times. He said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT." Matthew 11:28-30 I have found that trials make me a better, stronger Christian.

Jesus knew just what I needed to hear to get me through today. As always the Lord was right there by my side speaking to me today. If you are going through hard times, just ask the Lord to help you and He will…. He did for me today.
